Net Zero Impact
For this project, 60 ft of solar-thermal tubes were installed on the roof of the Our Lady of the Lake Parish School. The solar-thermal tubes are mounted to a custom aluminum frame that is bolted to the existing roof structure. Attention to detail was required to ensure waterproof roof-top anchorage connections and to avoid the disrupting the roof’s rain-water drainage. The solar-thermal tubes provide heat for the water in the school’s radiator system that heats the entire school building. On a cloudy day, the solar tubes can heat the water to over 200 degrees.
