Ballard Pool

At the Ballard Pool, a retractable plastic cover was added to the swimming pool to save energy when the pool is not in use. The plastic cover connects to two 24-feet long rollers that are mounted high on the existing exterior concrete wall and to one of the roof beams. Structural Engineering was required for anchorage of the large rollers and for anchorage of the steel guide wires.
