Samurai Noodle

Location: Seattle, WA

When the Samurai Noodle restaurant moved into this new location in the University District, the new space needed a complete renovation: both the upper floor and lower floor were stripped down to studs. Because the renovation greatly enhanced the use of the building, the City required a seismic retro-fit of the entire two story building. The unique feature of this project is the front canopy: a single, slender, flat steel plate that cantilevers several feet over the entry.
