Ballard Second Floor

Location: Seattle, WA

This Ballard home received a new second floor to better house a growing family. To support the weight of the new second floor and roof, strategically-located concrete pads were added under the existing basement concrete walls to provide foundation reinforcement.  The new second floor framing spanned across the full width of the house, thus leaving the first floor unaffected by construction.   This allowed the homeowners to continue living in the home throughout construction.
