Oxbow Park: Hat and Boots Restoration

For this neighborhood-funded project, the historic “Hat and Boots” gas station monuments were relocated and restored at Georgetown’s new Oxbow Park. Both the Hat and the Boots received new foundations and seismic anchors. The 44-ft wide Hat received a new shotcrete covering and was mounted on new steel braced frames. Custom steel plate benches were added under the Hat. www.seattle.gov/parks
